How to recognize oily scalp?


Color:

Yellowish scalp, shiny scalp (easy to see sebum around the pores).


Hair:

• Hair looks dull and lifeless most of the times.

• Hair fall.

• Dandruff stuck on the hair.


Cause:

• Excess sebum (skin’s natural oils). Sebum acts as a layer of protection to keep the scalp from  losing moisture and drying out. But too much sebum can leave your scalp and hair greasy. Oily scalp can cause scalp acne or dandruff.

• Sweat and moistened scalp lead to dandruff.

• Dust and dirt may cling to your hair and compromises its hygiene. Malassezia, a fungus, thrives in oily areas of the scalp and can further aggravate dandruff symptoms.


Care

• Use plant based moisture shampoo in the morning.

• Use deep cleansing shampoo at night time after dinner.

• Always blow dry out scalp area first with cool air, always maintain dry scalp.

• Deep clean the pores regularly.

• Manage your diet: Control the Carbohydrate, no supper, no over-eating, eat more vegetables.
